AT A GLANCE aesthetics GRAPHICS: I never thought any 32-bit fully 3D game could look this good. Relatively smooth textures, fully 3D environments full of color and 60 frames a second. SOUND: Masterful sound engineering thanks to Hitoshi Sakimoto and his superior abilities. This soundtrack is still nearly unmatched to this day. execution GAMEPLAY: You like being pwned, punished, and pulverized? Like having your skill tested until you mess your pants? Like Ikaruga? Polished mechanics round out the compelling gameplay. VALUE: If you're good enough to finish this from beginning to end on the first shot, I gues an hour of playtime doesn't sound like a lot. But trust me, you're not good enough, and the game is too fun to put down. OVERALL Why was this game never released in the states? Why hasn't this been ported to a current-gen console?
