Jack Thompson not having a problem with the uber-sexy Mass Effect? Schlocking!!!111one. Will Too Human finally arrive, and in May, like Gamestop says?
The fantabulous Cooper Lawrence and the Blooper to end all bloopers! Because, you know, Mass Effect is really full of porntograny and sexamality. Meanwhile, it objectifies women and according to a Fox News panel, you can't do ANYTHING once it's in the house! God forbid a console's parental control features actually working... oh wait. Of course, there is other word-dom to be had, and we speak on other topics such as... teabagging in schools. Yes. And then, Gizmondo's sordid tale of revival, shot-down-al, and then re-revival. In other somewhat sad but really joyous news, Ethan's work schedule has rendered him unavailable as a regular member of the Po'cas'. So, he will be appearing as a guest whenever he can; but for now, we're a three-horse gig.

For some reason we ramble on for 30 minutes about what we've been playing before getting to some interesting news bits and the NPD sales. Record Breaking! Then we get to a hilarious reader bag of dung, what games we've played that pull us away from our backlogs, and get to our reader questions. All in just under two hours and 23 minutes. Short, eh? Some of the bigger stories include the ever-expanding discussion of whether or not videogames directly affect how we behave (man saves other man from bleeding to death thanks to America's Army; elsewhere, man kills other man due to fued on Lineage II, et cetera and the NPDs. Even for the "worst" selling console, there were LOTS of sales to be had and overall it seemed like it was a successful holiday.

One question: how in the hell did Neversoft's testing department not catch that the Wii version of Guitar Hero III was NOT in Stereo sound? Oh, and a whole bunch of other catfight news. Activision and Harmonix hate each other! One wants cross compatibility; one wants money! Shiggy doesn't know what the Ratchet and Clank series is! PS3 games are "infinitely" more fun than Wii games! And as for the mailbag... Someone wants to know how to support Jeff Gerstmann and the Gamespot staff without patronizing the parent company! Someone else wants to know what we'd add to our tiny lil site to add traffic! Still someone else claims that the last-gen Xbox shouldn't be ignored for all of its great exclusive games, but yet somehow the Gamecube can be! Poof!
Trigames.NET Podcast Episode 73 - Jeff Gerstmann

The podcast title speaks for itself. That's right - it's all about Jeff Gerstmann, all 2 hours of it. There's no intro music. There's no Bag of Shit (though it manifests itself briefly in the beginning with a very choice selection from all of us). There's no "what we've been playing". There are no musical interludes. Just a discussion about Jeff Gerstmann and his unjust termination from Gamespot, and of whatever integrity's left in game journalism and game criticism. And, of course, your questions and comments. Download the episode here.

Trigames.NET Podcast Episode 71 - For Me To Poop On

So I'm walking down the street and I see a large launch line for some game, hardware, or whatnot. Then I see three big honking news cameras from national news networks paying attention to the guy at the front of the line in the Master Chef helmet - was that Chief or Chef? - asking him what it's like standing in front of a line and what it's been like standing there for four days in that helmet without taking a shower or grabbing a bite to eat or taking a swig of any beverage in the freezing cold waiting for some videogame that is probably going to be in ample supply for the next ten decades. How the FUCK do you think he feels? Cold, hungry, thirsty and smelly, you stupid fucktards! His answer, of course, is muffled by the Master Chef - Chief? - helmet as the news cameras zoom in and the interviewers nod and smile while thinking in the back of their heads that something must be wrong with this strange person sitting at the front of the line for days on end just to get something that'll be there for eternity. After taking in the moment, I throw my Mountain Dew at Master Chump's face and run like the dickens. Then I download Episode 71 of the Trigames.NET Podcast and listen to how much better these four guys are than me, you, and the rest of the world, as they discuss the phenomenon of the media sensationalizing people standing in line for helmets covered in Mountain Doo. Love it or hate it, they rule Earth. So listen up, or be left behind! Download the episode here.

Trigames.NET Podcast Episode 70 - Notorious Thugs

What happens when you have no main topic because a certain female has decided not to show up again for the episode? You spazz out on the two bags (Deuce, Mail), of course! Ethan's absence phases us not: we roll strong without the nosey. We also roll off topic with South Park, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and Glengarry Glen Ross. "Sir" Howard Stringer calls the HD media format war a "stalemate", the Xbox 360 outsells the Playstation 3 in Japan, Marky Mark is Max Payne, and Brain Age is apparently a sham. Plus, some good mailbag questions like whether or not your Xbox 360 will see the same shortened 4.5 year lifespan that its progenitor did and what videogame magazines we stole I mean burned I mean collected. Listen, for ye shall be of the pathetics if not! And stuff. Download the episode here.

Trigames.NET Podcast Episode 69 - A Game Revolutionary!

Contributor and Gamerevolution.com staffer Nick Tan, a.k.a. Draqq, joins as a guest and listens in as we act traditionally ludicrous and teh stupido. Ethan also finally makes her long-hated return, and proves as useless as ever! Sorry, HIS return. Yep. We talk about Nintendo's insistance on the lack of a hard drive; robbers who used an NES Zapper; Japan and its supposed "fear" of original IP; used games; whether or not games are productive; and more! Nick offers his bag of poop, and the rest of us chime in with games that really, truly suck - like Mario Galaxy, Halo 3 and Crysis. They are all bags of poop! Dive in, eat well, and - lest we forget about our poor last episode - don't forget to listen to Episode 68 as well. This podcast is really late, but it's also a really good episode, so just friggin' listen to it. We blame Audacity and computer problems that rendered half of our initial edit useless. We talk about reviews and the internet frothy fanboys that read / use them for the wrong reasons; some trash talk from Master Will Wright about what IS and ISN'T next-gen; et cetera, yadda, oh just listen to it already. Oh, and bag of deuce. Can't get enough of that. Anyway, hurry up and get on with it before it gets old and crusty. By posting this so late we're not giving it a healthy-enough gestation period, so gobble it up before it becomes irrelevant - which is to say, never, because we are always non-irrelevant. We rule you and your little dog too. And so forth. Blah blah. Transmission obo. Download the episode here.

Capcom how we love thee. A new Bionic Commando and Street Fighter IV? Are you kidding us? We discuss a whole butt-ton of news and salivate over the capcom possibilities. Also, NPDs are in! And it looks like Halo 3 sold a few consoles, yes? I guess it DOES move some consoles. 3.3 million - that's excluding Wal-Mart numbers. Holy hell. And where do Nintendo and Sony stand? Below Microsoft in the individual console sales department. Believe. (In Bungie.) A new Bag of Shit is ready for you, as well as listener and GS Radio Cohost LeideN's fury at how the ESRB works. Ethan's allergies kicked in, so we are without a female on the cast - but no matter. We rule, and Ethan sniffs his own butt. You know it. Listen on, or be pwned by dumbosity. There's something strange. In the neighborhood. Who you gonna call? TRIGAMESdotnet! Today is a very special day. It is the day that is 15 days after the first of October. It is also the day before tomorrow, and the day after yesterday. Note that down. Noted? Good. Now put the pen away and put on the earbuds. Al and Austin are free of the tyrannical mess that is the underling goop of Ethan and Tony, as they proceed with their own private butt show in the comfort of wherever they are. Actually, no, Tony was in Atlantic City and Ethan was on a plane over to Chicago for work so Al and Austin hold down the fort. We talk some some Electronic Arts dinner plans (they ated Bioware and Pandemic), some Marv Albert commentary on Manhunt 2 (REJECTED! by the UK...again), a sob story from a disappointed Xbox 360 customer, bag o' deuce goodness, Rock Band versus Guitar Hero III and - as always - some listener e-mail. Also, Ghostbusters for the Commodore 64 was the best game in the universe. Halo? Trash. Metroid? Overrated. God of War? Child's play. Zelda? They shouldn't have bothered. It's ALL about Ghostbusters, because really, what other game lets you control both on-screen characters with one joystick and then doesn't burden you with the decision to move them backwards as opposed to ONLY forwards, because that would just be too convenient? Yeah. Somethin' strange. Download the episode here.

Yeah. Somethin' strange.!(You can find today's podcast page at: http://www.trigames.net/articles.php?content_id=734)</itunes:summary>

The internet is ablaze - afire - a...flame - with the news that Bungie and Microsoft are no more sleeping together. They have now moved on to have separate lives, yet remain best friends. Did Microsoft love and leave? Did Bungie need its space? Or is either one of them eloping with Nintendo or Sony, or a combined beast only known as Nintendony? Who knows? Who cares? You do! We do! We all do! For ice cream. Don't mind the television in the background in the first few minutes - that goes away. Also, we delve more into the price debate - for the final time, we declare it - and talk about Half Life 2 as well as the new Xbox 360 acquisitions for Al and Tony. Can Ethan be far behind? Who knows? He's too busy pooping! Download the episode here.

There was Guitar Hero III, Crysis, Gears of War PC and some other flotsam and jetsam - but nothing like the Wii / PS3 showoff or Xbox Live Arcade lineup of last year.

The Lords of Console convened in their dark place, plotting their evil plan to unleash the One True Console upon the world as foretold by Dyack the Denis in his cavern of Silicon Knights of glory and sexual tension. Wait, what? Sound ludicrous? Well, most of us find the assertion that a one-console future is "coming whether we like it or not" a bit ... much. But, fear not ladies of the rain - Ethan is back, in all of his nosenly glory, to tell us about this topic and his kibbutz. We also go apeshit insane discussing some ludicrous abstraction of how we value games and what we'd pay for them. If you can make any sense of it, please mailbag us. Want more? Download this and listen to Austin and Al sing Sephiroth. With invented lyrics. Bite us.
We WERE going to talk about Denis Dyack's vision of a one-console future. However, Ethan had an emergency and couldn't be with us. Therefore, we saved the topic for next week and instead talked about what we would do to improve on bag-of-shitty games. Whaddaya know: the bag of shit and the main topic, merged into one ultimate being! Following, of course, a whole slew of news - much having to do with rocking out - and followed BY some nice bags of ma...il. One of these days I'll misspell that. Here comes a brand new flava in ya ear. Time for new flava in ya ear. I'm kickin' new flava in ya ear, Trigames' the new flava in ya ok enough of that. Today is reasonably light with the prepared content and nice n' heavy with the reader mail. Al also brings back Craig Mack on an unannounced name-drop. Pick that name up, Al. We've also got some good potential topics for future casts from our mailbag: in this day and age, do games need multiplayer to be great? What games that were horrible would we improve, and what would we do to improve them? What is our favorite game feature in a game we like? All these answered, and less, in Episode Six Oh. If you don't listen, your head might implode in a fit of ineptitude. So get to it. Download the episode here.

We decided to really take it easy this week. In under an hour, a teeny tiny measly little hour for those who fidget and can't bother to listen to the most awesomest dumbturds talk about the most awesomest stuffings, we wrap up some interesting news topics - albeit not every one out there - and try to make Uwe Boll sound as haphazardly panicked as possible when trying to state his case for 'Postal: The Movie Without Quality'. Aaaaaand as always, we dip into the male's bag to bring you freshly ground ... uh ... mail. Yerp. What fate awaits Ryvvn's dongle? Does Freebones like the Geetawr He-row pack? Is Supersonic right about the Xbox 360's zany pricing strategy? Also, you can keep your Chemical Romance. We want none of the self-cutting whinery in our midsts, and neither does Peter Griffin. Avast ye, for ye are avasted. And stuff. I'm tired and I don't care about you! Good Eyb.
The title says it all. Download this episode and listen to see if you've won a t-shirt, 50 dollars, and a mystery gag gift to be unveiled within the digital audio on the internetwebs. We thought we'd take it easy this week too, but we ended up going for 96 minutes on your usual videogame brouhaha and scuttlebutt. Epic and Silicon Knights - two lovers who broke each others' hearts and filed lawsuits. Cheapassgamer.com - subpoenaed by Circuit City. Playstation 3 80GB SKUs out in the wild. Thermal radiation research done on the Xbox 360. Governor Arnie doesn't know games. The Goldman Family gets all of Juice's royalties for his appearance in All Pro Football 2K8. Male-bags of questions answered, and - of course - the actual drawing of the prize on video! Listen at around the 1:07:52 mark for the URL. OJ Simpson - this one's for you.
Join arrr us arrr as arrrr we arrrr read arrrr your arrrr contest arrr entries arrrr aloud! Ok, no more "arrrr" from me. After discussing why Ebert is wrong about his view on games, Resident Evil 5 isn't racist, and Guitar Hero III's newly announced and hot-to-death tracks, we take in Ish's bag o' deuce game and then... read everyone's Pirates Versus Ninjas entry on air! I think we have a few clear winners but we're taking these few days to sleep on it. Look forward to the actual prizes being handed out on Episode 58. In the meantime, enjoy everyone's humorous and valiant attempts at convincing us which pirate or ninja would win control over the whole world. And, Tony finally answers: why all the Sony and PSP hate? Juicy juicy.. Download the episode here.

Al turned 47 on Friday, so let's all give him a big hug, a big cake, and plentiful ladies of virtue true - it's his birthday! We celebrate it by talking about steak knives, mashed potatoes, Denis Dyack whining about Epic's alleged sabotage, what we see in the near future of games, Al's old bones, some listener bag of deuce, Al's old bones, why Ethan and Austin don't like Transformers, Al's old bones, and Al's old bones. Al's old! Happy Birthday, you turd. By the way, the Pirates versus Ninjas contest is... *drumroll* CLOSED! We will be reading the entries and voting on the T-shirt winner soon, and when we've decided on that, we'll dedicate the next nearest episode to announcing that winner as well as doing the random drawing for the $50 gift card. Oh yeah, and Tony's computer is in the computer hospital - so he's taking a breather this episode.

E3 happened last week, and for our podcast it's all about the news that leaked out of E3. Obviously we don't cover everything, and unfortunately not all of us saw all of the pressers online. So we do what we can - cover bits of news from the show here and there such as release dates; Al's love of Metallica; and possum sightings (not really), and then move onto a plethora of reader questions - over 50 minutes of mailbag! Cheating in games. Playstation 3 musings. E3's new format. The 360 Elite. Guncon versus Zapper versus... a real gun? Wii Fit and people who hate exercise. And finally, another Slunks tangent-o-rama. YOU'SE LISTENS NOW. Download the episode here.

Trigames.NET Podcast Episode 52 - Racism in Games

Happy Independence Day! No fancy, semi-witty title. This is a serious and interesting topic that we go into, touching lightly upon those yelling madmen on Xbox Live and more in depth about the content in games today, whether it should be perceived as different from movies from a racism standpoint, and what it means to be stereotypical versus offensive. Also, Pac-Man for the Atari 2600 makes a guest appearance. Finally, we go crazy changing the Skype chat room topic every this lewd way and that. Not for kids under 30! (Wait, that's me.) We need to shut up more. That's nearly 2 and a half hours of us-speak. Download the episode here.

But that's besides the point. We Want Manhunt 2. But what needs to happen to get it? In what form will we get it? And should we be allowed to get it? Be prepared for seven sagas, turtles, deadly towers, and 50,000,000 reasons to download Grand Theft Auto IV episodic content on the Ex Box Three-Siddy. All this, some news, some mailbagging, shitbagging and teabagging (or not) to come in Episode 51 of WE R AWSOM podcast. Eh ah. Eh ah. We can't stop. Won't stop. Trigames for life.
