Things to See and Hear: Dude, I'm OK (A Thompsonsoft Game)

Today's Thing: Dude, I'm OK (A Thompsonsoft Game)

Remember when Jack Thompson said that he would donate some money to charity if someone designed a game that had someone taking vile and violent revenge against the Videogame Industry?

Remember when somebody did make a game, and he didn't make a donation?

Remember when Penny Arcade made the donation in his stead?

Well, it's time to wonder whether or not the fine folks at Penny Arcade will have to make another donation. Derek Yu, who you might remember from independent developer Blackeye Software and who took part in the development of Blackeye's awesome Eternal Daughter, has now created "Dude, I'm O.K." - following Jack Thompson's very "modest proposal.

Are you REALLY ok?

We haven't played this game yet. It doesn't matter. The fact that the game was made at all, nevermind by someone who has made excellent homebrew games in the past, makes this something worth checking out. It looks like a 2D side-scroller from yesteryear that will make any old-school gamer giddy with glee. It should also make any Jack Thompson skeptic giddy with glee. In fact, it makes us giddy with glee. We can't wait to download and play this. Neither should you.
